This story filed by me to UNI news agency in 2003 i think. Talking with him was a bitter experience to me. Now where was he living.. what he's doing. Don't know.
I remember what this jalpaiguri walking teacher asking me in 2003.
He questioned me "are you a staff correspondent" . why i asked him. he declined to speak with me if i am a contributor. He had bitter experience with stringers in andhra pradesh in two three areas. He was exploited in rural andhra area to send his news for publication. Seeing agony and anger in his tone i just looked at him. I told him that i was a stringer of the district to UNI news agency. Even then
he wont accept to speak with me. He said stringers have no knowledge and try to exploit everyone. Really i was shocked and irked with him. I just want to leave him to his fate. Controlling my anger and agitating and disturbed mood i tried to explain all are not one. And told him some may like that. To my goodness... it is in dpro's office... the staff couldn't speak english .. at that time only
sub staff on duty. his only hope to speak is me.
Atlast with my butler english i managed him and filed the story. it take me one and half hour to convinve him. As he was angry with the stringer who asked money. All he told with agony of exploitation by some mischuvous scribes on his tour. after convincing, i said him wishes. he told ' i didn't tell u anything.' I just smiled and said no need sir... u already gave my story. happy journey... now Mr. Swapna kumar das the walking teacher may live in peace in his native place...
